About Us

HISTORY OF THE PROGRAM

The Stork’s Nest Child Academy was founded on April 16, 1997 with the opening of the first location in East Greenwich.  Upon opening, the center was granted a license from Department of Children, Youth & Families and Department of Education.  Recognizing a need for quality childcare and education, SNCA decided to expand to the northern part of Rhode Island, opening the second fully licensed location in Lincoln in March of 1999.  In May of 2003 the third location opened in Warwick, along with a corporate office and training center to efficiently meet the demands of our successful company.  As the need to expand continues, the Lincoln facility moved to a larger building in Smithfield in July of 2005.  The process of improving and expanding our facilities is an ongoing venture.
