As we enter the final days of summer why not get out with the family and try some of these cool events going on in the Ocean State.
Oh no! Summer ’17 is coming to an end. Can you even believe it? Don’t be too sad because we have been digging a little deeper to find some super fun events to close out a great summer. We know you might feel a little burnt out from this crazy summer but these events will make the end of the summer, easy, fun, and worth while!
August 10th (Thursday):
Sing Along Story Time @ 10:30 am – 11:00 am: (Recurring event) Free
This event is actually every week all summer. Your children can be involved in sing along songs, clapping games, and books for infants and toddlers. Drop-in, no RSVP needed. It’s great for a lazy day when you are unsure of what to do. No commitment necessary and it’s absolutely FREE! Can’t get any better than this. Definitely check it out on Tuesdays and Thursdays!

Touch-A-Truck at Roger Williams Park Zoo @ 11:00 am-2:00 pm Included with Zoo Admission
Kids can see, touch, climb on and explore big trucks and vehicles used in the construction of our new Rainforest exhibit – it’s BIG truck fun! Not only will they be able to learn a lot about construction and the rainforest exhibit, but they will be able to interact with big trucks which is every kids’ dream!

Messy Arts @ 10:00 am-11:30 am (Recurring event) $12
Bring the kiddos for a unique craft each week, story time, and open Play Gym! Different crafts each week for a special surprise for everyone! Definitely worth the $12 to get out of the house and create a mess not in the confinements of your home!

August 18th (Friday):
Brown University Summer Movie Night: Big Hero 6 @ 7:30pm-9:00pm Free!
Big Hero 6 is a kid friendly rated PG movie. 1 hour and 42 minutes long and 7.8 stars on IMDb. Content of the film involves the special bond that develops between plus-sized inflatable robot Baymax, and prodigy Hiro Hamada, who team up with a group of friends to form a band of high-tech heroes.
Bring your own blanket or low chairs for the lawn and Brown will treat you to free popcorn and other treats! Events are outdoors at the Granoff Center for the Creative Arts

If they can walk, they can jump! Toddler Time at Sky Zone Providence is a special time just for the little ones, where they can explore exciting new ways to be active, all while staying safe. All Toddler Time activities are specifically designed for young children. Toddler Time gives the smallest jumpers access to our massive Main Court.
