Welcome to the month of September!
The school year is upon us and we are hoping for a great year.
Please make sure that your child still has sunblock and the appropriate change of clothes.
We would like to wish these staff members a very Happy Birthday: 9/5 Zenaida (floater), 9/10 Jocelyn (floater) and 9/26 Ronnie (nurse)
Infant Room A:
Children will develop self-help skills. Children will also recognize, identify letters and sounds.
Classroom Special Events: Back to school events
Infant Room B:
Children will learn number sense and quantity. Children will also learn a sense of self, family and community.
Family Engagement: Send home red and green construction paper and ask parents to create an apple.
Classroom Special Events: Closed for Labor Day
Infant Room C:
Children will demonstrate an interest in books by looking intently at or reaching for colorful pictures in books. Children will also enjoy and begin to anticipate repetition, hearing a familiar song each time they are diapered.

Crawler Room A and B:
Children will improve traveling skills with teacher assistance. Children will gain an appreciation for literacy experiences by participation in story time.
Family Engagement: “What was your favorite thing to do this summer?”
Younger Toddlers A Room:
Children will use a variety of materials in exploring and creating visual art while making a car, bus or truck. Children will amuse themselves for a short period of time while playing with cars and trucks on the car rug.
Family Engagement: Reading buddies
Classroom Special Events: Labor Day September 4th Younger
Toddler B Room:
Children will match small and large objects when racing cars and trucks on the rug. Children will sit and move small wheeled riding toys while playing outside and in the gross motor room.
Family Engagement: Decorate a school bus cut-out at home to signify the start of the school year. Please bring them back in to be hung up.

Older Toddlers Room:
Children will develop self-help skills. Children will engage in positive relationships and interactions with other children.
Family Engagement: Decorate an apple with your child.

Three’s Room:
Children will respond to increasingly complex language as well as a range of topics. Children will also recognize and identify letters and make letter sound connections. We will use cards to point out letters that are in our name.

Pre-K Classroom:
Children develop an awareness of themselves as an individual with unique thoughts, feelings and perspectives. Children will also develop number recognition and counting skills and learn the relationship between numbers and the quantity they represent.
