Welcome to the month of June!

 

 

We would like to wish all the dads a Happy Father’s Day!  Also, we would like to say congratulations to our class of graduating students on June 21st at 1:30 at the Impossible Dream!!

 

Welcome to our Stork’s Nest Family Ms. Tashiana and Ms. Brittnee.

 

 

Infant Room A and B:

 

Children develop the ability to express and recognize their own emotions. Children will develop small muscle control, strength and coordination.

 

 

Family Engagement: Bring in a Daddy and me picture by May 31st (wallet size)

Infant Room C:

 

Children will sustain physical activity for at least 3-5 minutes at a time. Children will also develop trust in and engage in positively with adults who are familiar and consistently present in children’s lives.

 

 

Family Engagement: Share a book from home.

 

 

Classroom Special Events: Father’s Day project

Crawler Room A and B:

 

Children will develop the ability to express and regulate their own emotions by demonstrating a range of emotions in an appropriate manner. Children will develop number recognition and counting skills and learn the relationship between numbers the quantity they represent by beginning to understand “more” and “all gone”.

 

 

Family Engagement: Father’s Day project. Please bring in any outgrown winter coats/mittens/hat so we will have extras for next year.

 

 

 

Younger Toddler Room A:

 

Children will explore the properties of objects by grabbing, pushing, pulling, turning over and throwing them. Children will also identify known people in pictures.

 

 

Family Engagement: Color a beach ball to hang up in our classroom.

 

 

Classroom Special Events: Father’s Day ice cream social 6/14

Younger Toddler Room B:

 

Children will attempt to try new games and toys. Children will also use gestures, body language and or vocalizations to speak out help from a preferred adult.

Older Toddlers Room:

 

Children will alternate between doing things independently and wanting help or comfort. Children will explore the properties of objects by grabbing, pushing, pulling, turning over and throwing them.

 

 

Family Engagement: Grow a plant with your child and bring it in when ready.

 

 

Classroom Special Events: June 14th all fathers are welcome to join their children for a snack at 3:30.

Three’s Room:

 

Children will learn to plan and carry out investigations and collect and evaluate and communicate information. The children planted vegetables outside and we will discuss the life cycle of what they observe. Children will also learn a sense of self, family and community. We will be discussing dad’s role in the home and his career in celebration of Father’s Day.

 

 

Family Engagement: Book bag reading. Take a book bag home and read the book that’s inside with your child.

 

 

Classroom Special Events: Father’s Day event June 14th

Fours Room:

 

Children will investigate the properties of natural elements and provide simple descriptions. Children will also create art that contains realistic elements.

 

 

Family Engagement: Please bring in a photo of dad or grandpa.

Pre-K Classroom:

 

Children will learn to identify shapes and their attributes, solve problems using shapes and explore the position of objects in space. The children will describe and compare using their attributes. Children will also increase their skill in filtering impulses and sustaining attention on task. Children will build complex buildings, intentionally maintaining such features as symmetry.

 

 

Family Engagement: Bring in a picture of your dad.
