This month we will focus on physical health and motor development as the children develop large muscle control, strength, and coordination.  We use this goal to provide ample opportunities for children to improve gross motor skills so that they will be able to successfully participate in age appropriate physical games and activities as required by kindergarten curriculums.  We will also focus on social and emotional development and sense of self. We use this goal to help the children gain confidence to help them become successful learners in the classroom.

Family Engagement–  Plan time during the week to enjoy physical activity with your child.  Get the whole family involved.  Turn on some music and dance, take a walk, play a game of chase, practice throwing and catching a ball, etc.
